Virtual Events are Opening Up New Possibilities
Some sports lend themselves really well to running virtual / digital events, in particular individual sports or activities where participants can be filmed separately and footage compiled as if it were live on an agreed screening day.
Virtual events are possible for any activities or sports where competitors are judged individually, and can be filmed individually according to pre-agreed competition rules and/or submit their own footage.
Event costs
Every event is different, however a guide cost for a Virtual Freestyle event featuring up to 35 riders is provided below. Actual costs may vary, as they depend on the sport, expectations of sponsors and riders, and the number of competitors involved.

We assume that you will be able to provide access to specialist judges and that you and your rider network can raise £10,000 in sponsorship with sports companies to cover the event package.
Event Format Showcase
In 2020 Olympian Media worked in partnership with British Freestyle to deliver the first-ever Virtual Jetski Championships, enabling the new 2020 British Freestyle champions to be crowned across four classes. The event had global appeal, attracting competitors from around the world and more than 20,000 viewers.
We repeated this in 2021, with an event that was 30% bigger and four times the reach, then again in 2022, 2023! Have a watch of last years event and see for yourself!
